We are at the moment at a transitional period in our ministry, which is a very challenging and also an opportune time of growth as we are sort of re-introducing ourselves to the community after a long period worshipping without a roof over our heads.
The major challenge for us constant break=inns that have been taking place recently due to us not having a fence around our church at all.
Because of no fence we feel very discouraged as at one point we had about 3 break-inns in one week.
God has been faithful in connecting us with awesome friends who share the same experiences with us and also the same victories. This has left us very excited indeed. Networking with other like minded kingdom people who in some cases share bigger victories in some areas is extremely exciting.

Lawrence Khumalo
/in Latest News /by Lawrence KhumaloThe Church is growing spiritually and also in numbers. Yes there are challenges and with the help of the Lord we have been able to overcome. It gives me joy to see people joyful in the presence of the Lord. It is a great discouragement to see a church member back sliding because of hunger and poverty and that affects the attendance dramatically.
The people in Impendle are now at a point where they come to you wanting to know more about the Lord, wanting extra bible classes because they want to know the ways of Christianity. They want to learn about prayer, fasting, giving, worshipping and lots more.

/in Latest News /by adminI am happy because I can see the Lighthouse Church as my new home that is having a bright future. Members are few but committed and dedicated.
The warm hospitality’ dedication and commitment from the church members has lifted my spirit. In the year 2019 I see God taking me to another level.
I met with some key people in the office of a Minister in the South African National Parliament and this man is more than willing to be part of our Community Development Program.
Victor Befile
/in Latest News /by Victor BefileThe Church is growing but there is still a lot need to be done because of lack of stability in our communities that also affects stability in the church. Members are coming and going. This is because we are ministering to poverty stricken people. That forces the church to play a holistic approach in our ministry to transform the lives of that community.
William Blaauw
/in Latest News /by William BlaauwThe church is doing very well, by the grace of God. We Baptist 1 convert and accepted 4 people into the membership of New Beginnings, in February. We are planning a picnic on the second week of April for the church at Sum Cay, just to have fun, fellowship and having braai together as the church. This time we will also serve to celebrate 4 years of New Beginnings Community Church.
Small Groups
We have planted two small group, one in Mission vale and one that rotates between Gelvandale, Sidwell and Algoa Park. We have two leaders leading these groups.
Small groups are doing very well. People are growing spiritually, in their relationship with God, and towards each other. We have completed our study in the book of Acts. We will start working through “what’s your story” toolkit from heartlines and we are excited for what God will do in our lives.
Youth:
Is doing extremely well. Beginning of the year we have decided to start the youth ministry from scratch. Within 6 weeks we had 15 youth coming, and last week we had 20 young people coming. Please pray for the team for wisdom and guidance.

/in Latest News /by admin“I have indicated earlier that the slow growth of the church is so discouraging to the point that I sometimes want to quit and shut the ministry / church down. It is very hard, we are losing members and the challenges of life both physically and social are a contributing factor to the discouragements. The level of commitment is dropping from members and I suspect that people now focus more churches that do miracles and prophets. The word based and disciple making churches are having a hard time these days. Matthew 24 is now becoming a reality. We need prayers and more advice on how we can make the church desirable and relevant again.”
