Greetings Dear Friends

Its a joy to update you on our latest news! In this edition we highlight the devastating flooding in the Eastern Cape South Africa and the response of the Church as well as what Church looks like in different parts of Africa. We trust you are challenged and encouraged as you read!

Floods and Storms in South Africa

South Africa has recently been hit with devastating flooding and winds. A number of our Church Planters homes, particularly those in low lying areas and structurally unsound,  were affected. Many homes in South Africa are simple metal or wooden structures and are severely impacted by these natural disasters. A Church we partner with in Motherwell lost their roof due to high winds. It has been a privilege for Africa For Christ to help with some food aid, as well as building materials. If you would like to assist in this regard please be in touch with us.

Church in Africa!

Church in Africa is very different to what we might be used to! Due to persecution and other challenges, Church often takes place in small groups, at the market place, under a tree, or in a simple constructed building. Yet the Gospel is still actively and passionately preached and many are coming to faith. Praise the Lord for His willing servants who embrace simple Church and make the most of every opportunity. Many small Discipleship groups are being established in Ghana, Malawi, Sierra Leone and very difficult to reach places such as Burkina Faso.

Praise Points:

  • The Church assisting in the recent flooding in South Africa

  • Faithful men and women who without fear share their faith in difficult to reach places

Please Pray:

  • For those affected by the devastating natural disasters in South Africa – openness to hear the Word that is preached as they receive assistance

  • For small Discipleship groups to continue to grow in Africa – particularly in countries where there is much opposition to the Gospel

Blessed to be a Blessing
