Dear AFC Partners
Greetings from South Africa! This update we focus on our partners in the USA, and how thankful we are for them – along with all our partners globally. Jeremy was able to travel for 4 weeks across the USA to 3 states and visit multiple partners and churches during April and May . We give God the glory for raising such special friends and partners for AFC in the USA.
Columbus- Ohio and Columbia- South Carolina
Columbus, Ohio is a place of great importance for AFC!! We have three churches and 5 different families that all support church planters in our mission, making it a total of 8 seperate partners and relationships in the city. Jeremy visited Heritage, Linworth and Ethos churches – giving report backs to each church, each of whom support several church planters. This year Jeremy had the privilege of meeting our latest family partner – Mike and his extended family. They have adopted NINE church planters making them our largest non- church partner – it was a joy to share with them and meet this amazing family. Below PHOTO is taken in Columbia, South Carolina with Mike and Angie from Kittiwake Baptist Church. Loyiso from AFC was visiting there last year. This year Jeremy preached at the church and stayed with Mike and Angie – who support two church planters as a family.
Golf and Relationships in South Carolina and Texas
YES, Golf has a wonderful way of enabling us to connect and build relationships with partners in the USA. Below PHOTO is of Jeremy and his three brothers, golfing together with Troy and his son, from Nutrimax in Lancaster. Nutrimax have just given a substantial donation towards a vehicle, 2 motorcycles and supporting church planters in Ghana/Burkina Faso refugee ministry. Jeremy also golfed and spoke at Covenant Baptist in Anderson, and in Houston Texas with two different pastors at courses there. (I do admit to having a LOT of fun in those times doing relationship building – that is just the grace of our Father and His extra blessings!!)
Jeremy had extended meetings at Cypress Bible Church in Houston – our largest partner in AFC, and they have now increased their support to 9 church planters and several projects in the next year .
Praise points
Three new parternships were raised on this last USA visit and this increases our sustainability as a mission.
Amazing connections with existing partners – three of who have now increased their support of church planters.
Pray for:
Pray for Heritage church in Ohio, our longest standing partner, who has gone through a transition and now has a new senior pastor.
Pray for God’s blessings on each of these families and churches in the USA who so faithfully and generously support AFC.
In His Service
