March Newsletter

March Newsletter Greetings from Africa! In these turbulent times we are quietly, but intentionally focussing on the least known muslim areas of the world – its called the Sahel – and there is a straight red line on the map from east to west seperating where Christ is known and where there are only muslims. Jeremy had the privilege to visit two countries on the red line and below is the report. Visit to Partners in Ghana In Ghana Jeremy spend 5 days with our key partner Wisdom Ameku and his leaders. We spent two days in intensive training with 10 leaders – each of whom has several church planters under them. The key training was in how to start discovery Bible Studies among the lost in their areas. Jeremy also met with two leaders who worked among muslim Fulani of Burkina Faso and they testified to great openness currently due to the ISIS crises in that area. (below is photo of Issah who ministers there). There were also some USA Partners with Jeremy visiting the Ghana micro credit program for small business, which is going very well. Visit to Sierra Leone Jeremy was in Sierra Leone for 5 days, visiting our key partner Francis Jabba in the city of Bo. Our partner now has 15 new church plants over the 4 years since we started from zero with him. Jeremy was able to train 35 leaders in leading Discovery Bible Studies, and in sharing faith with muslims. Bo is 70% muslim and most villages have a mosque but no church. We are planning many more church plants in the years to come across the whole province. Below is a photo of one church planter, red shirt, delivering a water filter to village leaders as part of his ministry to that area. They have no clean drinking water.   Praise points Fruitful efforts in Sierra Leone. Openness amongst refugees – especially the Fulani – in Ghana. Pray for: Pray for William and Issa, the two pastors working among the Fulani – pray as they visit leaders and village men among the Fulani refugees that they would find men of peace and be able to lead them to Christ. Pray for the Church planting efforts in region and city of Bo, Sierra Leone. It is mainly muslim, and Francis and his team are constantly sharing with muslims and persuading them about Christ. February Newsletter

February Newsletter Dear AFC Partners The new year is rapidly moving along! I have been reminded at the start of this year that the Lord desires to bless us – with the main purpose of being a blessing to those around us – blessed to be a blessing! You are a blessing to us as you partner with AFC in seeing Africa transformed with the Good News of Jesus Christ! Annual Coordinators Gathering At the beginning of each year our main Leaders gather together in the beautiful coastal town of Jeffreys Bay to plan and strategize for the year ahead. This year we welcomed a new Coordinator, Syvion, who will oversee mainly the KwaZulu Natal area. Loyiso has also stepped into the role of National Director. It was a wonderful time of planning, personal coaching and just having some great fellowship together! The Hands and Feet of Jesus amongst the Fulani  The Fulani people are refugees from Burkina Faso who are residing in Tumu, northern Ghana, 17 km away from the Burkina Faso boarder. They fled from their country due to political instability. They are among the most least reached people groups in the world . They are cattle keepers and mostly Muslims or traditional. One of our AFC Church Planters lives amongst the Fulani people, showing the love of the Lord through the provision of clean water, education opportunities for the children and doing sports ministry. Praise points A wonderful Leadership Retreat with some great plans for 2026 The incredible work being done amongst refugees – especially the Fulani Pray for: The Lord’s blessing upon our plans, trainings and strategies for 2026 The Fulani people and other refugees – this unique opportunity to reach people with the Gospel Our Church Planters ministering in very challenging places With much appreciation Gary AFC Operations Director

September Newsletter

September Newsletter Dear AFC Partners Its a great joy to update you on the amazing goodness of the Lord in what He is doing in South Africa and the African Continent. We greatly value your prayers and support! He is at work in many unusual and glorious ways! AFC Africa Conference In August we held our very first AFC Africa Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. Some of our key leaders working outside South Africa from countries such as Ghana, Malawi, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe were invited. It was also a blessed time of networking and fellowship between these leaders and our SA Leadership. It was a great joy to have Pastor Tim Weaver from Cypress Bible Church visit and give some much valued input to our Church Planters. Ghana Water Project Cornelius and his beautiful family live and minister in Tumu, Ghana amongst the Sissala people in an area dominated by Islam – 87% of the inhabitants are Muslim. It has also become a very strategic area as Fulani refugees from Burkina Faso have fled there. Cornelius recently shared in his update: “We have been providing water to the Fulani families as a way to show generosity and also to respond to their water crisis. They live in the bush with their animals and no access to the pipe water. This has helped us to win their trust, build friendships and open the door to the Gospel. They always come to our house and we go to their communities without restrictions.” Praise the Lord for what He is doing amongst the Fulani. Going to the Nations! At AFC we value exposing our Church Planters to what God is doing in the World! Sydney Yake, a Church Planter in the small town of Rhodes in the Eastern Cape, was recently invited to attend a training week with Operation Mobilization. He returned greatly encouraged and inspired as to what the Lord is doing in the nations and how his Church could play some small part in seeing the Kingdom come to many who have never heard! We are grateful to our partners connected with Rhodes who made this opportunity possible. Praise points A joyous and inspiring August Conference Opportunities to reach the Fulani refugees Sydney’s opportunity with Operation Mobilization Pray for: Our Church Planters in Africa working in challenging conditions Fruit amongst the Fulani and other refugees Our local Pastors to grasp a vision for the World With much appreciation for your faithful partnership Gary AFC Operations Director

Fear is a real barrier but at the end of the training the testimonies they shared of what they had learnt were very encouraging. Adopt a Village News In our last update we shared about Zimbini and the chronic shortage of water faced by her community. We also shared the good news that we had received some sponsorship for water tanks for her to develop her gardens. The exciting news below is that the tanks are installed – now lets pray for good rainfall! Adopt Advanced Training Every year we invite all our Adopt a Village graduates who have shown fruitfulness to a specialized training. This year we were greatly blessed to have Dereck and Seth with us from our donor Churches in the States. June Newsletter Dear Partners We trust you all doing well! In our update please find below details of a wonderful Journey to Fullness course held recently as well as a corporate sponsorship received for a garden project in the rural Eastern Cape. Journey to Fullness Course It was a privilege having Pastor Andy and members of Heritage Christian Church with us to run a Journey to Fullness course. The course was held both in East London and Gqeberha, where our AFC church planters were able to get many of their people and communities to attend. The course focusses on addressing wounds from our past, exposing the lies of the enemy, and experiencing the wonderful, liberating truth that Jesus brings to set us free. Many breakthroughs were experienced – thank you Heritage for investing in our people! Corporate Sponsorship for Adopt a Village Our Adopt a Village program is focused on training our Church Planters to see Kingdom transformation in their needy communities. BVI Border (Pty) Ltd generously made funding available to assist Zimbini (below). Zimbini has a Diploma in Agriculture and has a passion to see her community trained in planting sustainable vegetable gardens. There is no access to water in her village – people have to walk to a nearby river to fetch water for their needs. We will keep you posted as to her progress. (Photos below of Zimbini and the bases currently being built for the water tanks) Praise points A blessed Journey to Fullness seminar Funding for Zimbini’s garden project Pray for: Those who completed the Journey course to continue to walk in freedom The various garden projects we support to be a success Appreciate you all and your faithful prayers Gary AFC  Operations Director
